HOSTED BY ROB STANGROOM ON
Practical communications and risk governance implications of the new ZSE Rules
(SI 134-2019 – Zimbabwe Stock Exchange Listings Requirements)
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Chairpersons, CEOs, FDs and Company Secretaries (deemed to be “Investor Relations Officers” by the new ZSE Rules) of listed Zimbabwe Stock Exchange companies.
Rob’s talk focuses in on the key risk issues associated with managing your interface with the ZSE and how to structure your reporting function to avoid corporate regulatory reputation failure. With a new penalties regime (fines) and corporate websites being incorporated into ZSE disclosure law for the first time and new provisions related to the dissemination of material information, the new Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (“ZSE”) Listing Rules have critical practical governance and reporting implications for ZSE listed companies.
“Investor Relations” means a strategic management responsibility that integrates finance, communication, marketing and securities law compliance to enable the most effective two-way communication between a company, the financial community, and other constituencies, which ultimately contributes to a company’s securities achieving fair valuation.
Rob is a Chartered Accountant with 25 years of sub-Saharan capital markets experience and 11 years experience in digital marketing and online investor relations. He advises mainly listed companies on digital and governance communications strategies and manages AfricanFinancials, an investor relations portal dedicated to promoting the online visibility and investor relations practices of African listed companies online. 18 Zimbabwe Stock Exchange-listed companies currently utilise AfricanFinancials’ data and governance communications products and services.
