Nigerian Breweries Plc – Notification of Board Changes

Nigerian Breweries Plc (“the Company”) hereby further informs the Nigerian Exchange Limited and the investing public of the following additional change in the Board of Directors arising from the Board Meeting of the Company held on the 28th of July, 2022.

APPOINTMENT: MR. IBRAHIM AJIMASU PURI

Mr. Ibrahim A. Puri joins the Board as a Non-Executive Director effective the 1st of August, 2022.

Mr. Puri has over 30 years of cognate banking experience encompassing operations, marketing, retail, corporate banking, and human resource management. He was until the end of July 2022, an Executive Director with United Bank for Africa Plc, responsible for the bank’s operations in Northern Nigeria. Before then, he had managed Universal Trust Bank’s business in Northern Nigeria for more than a decade.

The Board is pleased to welcome Mr. Puri to the team and looks forward to the wealth of experience and knowledge he will be adding to the Board and the Company.

Following the above change, the Company’s Board effective the 1st of August, 2022 shall be composed as follows:

Mrs. J. Anammah; Mrs. A.O. Aroyewun; S. Hiemstra (Dutch); A. Ighodalo; Mrs. N.O. Nwuneli, MFR;
Mrs. I.M. Omoigui Okauru, MFR; R. Pirmez (Belgian); I.A. Puri; Mrs. Y. Yedikardesler (Turkish).

Effective the 1st of September, 2022, following an earlier notification of a Board change, the Board shall be composed as follows:

Mrs. Y. Yedikardesler (Turkish).
