
Home Afrika (Kenya) – Notification of board changes
The Board of Directors of Home Afrika Limited (βHome Afrikaβ) would like to announce the appointment of Mr. Antony Mbandi as a Non-Executive Director of Home Afrika with effect from 29th August 2022.
Antony Mbandi is the immediate former Development Director of Strathmore University Foundation. Antony has a Bsc Information Systems and Technology from USIU-Africa and a Masters of Arts Degree in Project Planning Management from University of Nairobi. He also has certification in quality standards and fundraising management from Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, Leadership training from Strathmore University Business School and Auditor/Lead Auditor ISO ISO 9001:2000 from Kenya Bureau of Standards, among others.
Antony has vast practical experience and knowledge in resource mobilization having worked in the bilateral space and not for profit space for over 20 years. Antony is passionate about philanthropy and social impact investing. Antony is a member of Institute of Directors β Kenya (IOD-K), he brings with him his tenacity for continuous improvement of institutions with a focus on the people.
The Board will wish to inform the public of resignation of Mr. Nelson Ashitiva, as a Non- Executive Director. He retired from the Board effective 26th July 2022. The Board wishes to thank Mr. Ashitiva for his distinguished service to the Company over the years.
Also, the Board has confirmed Ms. Jayne Nyokabi as the Managing Director of Home Afrika Limited with effect from 1st August 2022, Ms Nyokabi has been serving in an acting capacity for the last 9 months. We take this opportunity to wish Mr. Ashitiva well in his future endeavors and congratulate Mr. Bandi and Ms.Nyokabi on their appointment and confirmation respectively.
