Acacia Mining Plc (ACA.tz)

Acacia Mining PLC is a gold mining company in Tanzania which mines, processes and sells gold extracted from its gold mines, and copper and silver as co-products. The gold mining company has exploration properties in Kenya, Burkina Faso and Mali. Acacia Mining operates three gold mines in Tanzania; North Mara gold mine, a combined open pit and underground operation from two deposits in the Mara Musoma greenstone belt; Bulyanhulu gold mine, a narrow-vein gold mine containing gold, silver and copper mineralization in sulfides; and Buzwagi gold mine, a shear-hosted quartz-veined deposit hosted in porphyritic granite. Acacia Mining’s majority shareholder is Barrick Gold which has a 63.9% stake in the company. It was established as a unit of Barrick Gold when the company started mining in Tanzania in 2000.
