BAT Zimbabwe appoints Mr. Wilson Chitsonga as the new Finance Director Designate

British American Tobacco Zimbabwe (Holdings) Limited (“the Company”) announces the resignation of Mr. Vincent Kaloki as the Finance Director of the Company effective 31 August 2022.

Mr. Vincent Kaloki has been the Finance Director of the Company since March 2021. The Board of Directors would like to thank Mr. Vincent Kaloki for his contribution to the success of the Company and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

Further, the Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Wilson Chitsonga as the new Finance Director Designate with effect from 01September 2022.

Mr. Wilson Chitsonga is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants as well as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Malawi. He brings a great wealth of experience and knowledge and has over 17 years of professional experience with 14 years being shared with BAT. His experience and proven track record will be a tremendous asset to the Company.
Mr. Chitsonga has occupied various senior management roles at Dairibord Malawi, BAT Malawi and BAT Mozambique. He joined BAT in 2008 as the Planning and Reporting Manager and rose through the ranks to Head of Finance and the Managing Director for BAT Malawi thereafter. Mr. Chitsonga has also served as the Cluster Finance Director for BAT Mozambique, Malawi, Lesotho and eSwatini and continues to excel and rise in rank. He is appointed Acting Finance Director for BAT Zimbabwe effective 01 September 2022.
